Mathew Jonson is a Canadian producer and live performer who is one of the most technically accomplished and creatively original figures in minimal techno, known for his entirely live improvisational performances using synthesizers and drum machines rather than a traditional DJ setup. His releases on Wagon Repair and Mathematic are considered essential documents of the late 2000s minimal movement. He rarely tours, making each appearance a significant event.
