Nicolas Jaar is a Chilean-American musician and producer who released his debut album "Space Is Only Noise" on his own Other People label at the age of 21 to widespread critical acclaim, establishing him as one of the most intellectually ambitious producers in electronic music. His sets, often performed live rather than as traditional DJ sets, draw from a vast range of influences including classical music, noise, and Latin American folk. He has collaborated with Dave Harrington as the duo Darkside.
