Paul Oakenfold is a British DJ and producer who was among the first DJs to bring Ibiza's balearic sound to the UK in the late 1980s, kickstarting the Second Summer of Love and the British rave movement. He went on to become one of the most commercially successful trance DJs of the 1990s and 2000s, with productions for artists including U2, Madonna, and The Happy Mondays. He holds the record for performing at the highest-altitude DJ set, at Everest Base Camp.
