Paul van Dyk is a German DJ and producer who is widely credited as one of the founding figures of trance music, having developed his sound at Berlin's Tresor club in the 1990s before going on to release globally successful albums including "Reflections" and "In Between." He was the first DJ to win a Grammy in the Best Dance/Electronic Album category and has been a consistent advocate for the political and social potential of club culture. He survived a near-fatal stage accident in 2016 and returned to performing the following year.
