Special Request is the harder, rave-influenced alias of British producer Paul Woolford, under which he channels the raw energy of early 1990s UK rave through a contemporary production lens on his own Houndstooth imprint. His prolific output has documented an artistic mission to recover and recontextualize the energy of hardcore and jungle for a new generation. He is also active under his own name in more house-oriented contexts.
