About Unión

Unión is the flagship venue of Guadalajara's Zona Rosa, the city's LGBTQ+ neighbourhood, and has operated as both a community hub and a genuinely excellent bar since 2009. The venue's cocktail programme is among the most creative in the district, with staff who bring genuine bartending expertise to a menu that celebrates queer culture through drinks named for icons of LGBTQ+ history and culture. History

Unión opened in 2009 as Guadalajara's Zona Rosa was establishing itself as a safe and vibrant neighbourhood for the LGBTQ+ community in Mexico's second city. The bar has been at the centre of the community's social and political life through a decade of significant change in Mexican attitudes to LGBTQ+ rights.
