About Numbers Houston
Numbers is one of America's oldest continuously operating alternative nightclubs, a Houston institution that has been programming new wave, punk, goth, industrial and electronic music since the late 1970s. Its Montrose location, the heart of Houston's creative and LGBTQ+ community, is perfectly suited to its non-mainstream ethos, and the club's survival across five decades speaks to both its cultural importance and its loyal community of regulars.
History
Numbers opened in 1978 as Houston's answer to the punk and new wave explosion, providing an alternative to the city's mainstream disco venues.
