Ayahuasca Bar occupies a beautifully restored 1914 colonial mansion in Barranco and is widely considered one of the world's most beautiful bar settings. The venue's multiple rooms — each decorated with Peruvian folk art, antique furniture and elaborate botanical installations — create a labyrinthine drinking experience of extraordinary richness. The cocktail menu draws on Peru's diverse native ingredients, with pisco-based drinks incorporating exotic fruits, Andean herbs and Amazonian botanicals that cannot be found anywhere else in the world. Ayahuasca is a destination in itself.
Ayahuasca Bar opened in 2011, taking on the ambitious project of restoring a century-old colonial mansion in Barranco. Its immediate critical and popular success demonstrated Lima's readiness for a new generation of destination cocktail bars that could rival the world's best.
