About Bar do Goethe

Bar do Goethe is one of Porto Alegre's most unique venues, a bar inside the Goethe-Institut cultural centre in Moinhos de Vento that hosts regular jazz, MPB, and world music performances. History

Established in 1995 as part of the Goethe-Institut's cultural programming, Bar do Goethe has been a hub for Porto Alegre's intellectual and artistic community for three decades. Its programming reflects the Goethe-Institut's mission to promote cultural exchange between Germany and Brazil.
