About Nuestro Ambiente
Nuestro Ambiente is the heartbeat of San Juan's LGBTQ+ nightlife, a Santurce club that has operated as a community anchor and celebration space for two decades. The venue's name — 'Our Atmosphere' or 'Our World' — captures its essential character as a space that belongs to and is defined by its community rather than any commercial agenda. The music programme moves between reggaeton, house, and pop, with regular themed nights celebrating Puerto Rican queer culture, drag performance, and the island's extraordinary LGBTQ+ creative community. Nuestro Ambiente is located in Santurce's La Placita area, meaning guests can move seamlessly between the club and the neighbourhood's legendary open-air bar scene.
History
Nuestro Ambiente opened in 2005 as Puerto Rico's LGBTQ+ community was growing in visibility and confidence. The club has been a central institution through significant changes in Puerto Rican society and law, serving as both a refuge and a celebration space during a period of profound social transformation.
