About Warehouse 702

Warehouse 702 is one of Tokyo's most distinctive nightlife venues, a raw industrial warehouse in the Shinkiba waterfront area that has become the city's premier destination for hard techno and industrial electronic music. The venue's aesthetic — exposed pipes, concrete walls, and minimal lighting — is deliberately reminiscent of the great warehouse clubs of Detroit and Berlin, and the programming reflects this influence. Warehouse 702 attracts Tokyo's most dedicated techno community and has hosted some of the genre's most important international artists.

History

Warehouse 702 opened in 2008 in the Shinkiba industrial area, taking advantage of the neighbourhood's large warehouse spaces to create a club with a genuinely industrial aesthetic. The venue quickly became a destination for Tokyo's underground techno community.
