Tygmont is Warsaw's oldest and most respected jazz club, operating continuously since 1978 in a vaulted basement in the city centre. The intimate 200-capacity room creates an atmosphere that connects directly to the golden era of jazz clubs, with nightly live performances from Poland's finest jazz musicians and regular international bookings. Tygmont has survived Poland's political transformations and the disruptions of nightlife fashion changes by offering something irreplaceable: genuinely great live jazz in an atmosphere that money cannot manufacture.
Founded in 1978 during the communist era, Tygmont became a cultural sanctuary where Warsaw's jazz community gathered. Its survival through the political and economic upheavals of 1989 and beyond speaks to the depth of loyalty it inspires in its audience. The club has hosted virtually every significant Polish jazz artist of the past four decades.
