Sauf Haus brings the energy of a Munich Oktoberfest celebration to Dupont Circle year-round. The bar is famous for its enormous beer steins, communal wooden tables and an infectious party atmosphere powered by a DJ or live music most nights. It is one of DC's most reliable venues for a high-energy, unpretentious night out.
History
Sauf Haus opened in 2013 on Connecticut Avenue and quickly became a Dupont Circle institution, particularly popular with the post-work crowd and weekend revellers looking for a reliably fun atmosphere without the formality of a traditional nightclub.
