History

The NDSM shipyard was one of the largest in the world during the 20th century, employing thousands of Amsterdam workers. After its closure in the 1980s, the site was gradually transformed into a creative hub, with artists, designers, and event organisers taking over the vast industrial spaces. It is now one of Amsterdam's most important cultural destinations.
