About Jamboree Jazz & Dance Club

Jamboree is one of Barcelona's most historic venues, a subterranean jazz club in the Gothic Quarter that has been operating since 1960. The venue hosts live jazz and blues early in the evening before transitioning to hip-hop and soul club nights after midnight. The intimate space, with its low vaulted ceilings and warm lighting, creates an atmosphere that is unlike anything else in the city. Jamboree has hosted legends including Chet Baker, Ornette Coleman, and countless others.

History

Opened in 1960 in a medieval cellar beneath the Plaça Reial, Jamboree was one of the first jazz clubs in Spain. It has survived decades of political and social change to remain one of the most important live music venues in Barcelona, maintaining its commitment to jazz while adapting to include hip-hop and soul programming.
