About The Ark
The Ark is Bucharest's answer to the warehouse club format, a cavernous converted industrial space near the Old Town that has become the go-to venue for the city's larger electronic music events. With a capacity of 1,500 and a sound system to match, The Ark hosts headlining international techno and house DJs alongside homegrown Romanian talent in a setting that emphasises the music above all else. Its programming has brought some of the world's most respected electronic artists to Bucharest, helping to establish the city on the global electronic music touring circuit.
History
The Ark emerged as part of the wave of warehouse venue openings in Bucharest around 2015, capitalising on the city's growing reputation as an Eastern European clubbing destination following the international success of events like Untold Festival. Its scale and production values set a new benchmark for large-format electronic music events in Romania.
