Uebel & Gefährlich — 'Evil & Dangerous' — lives up to its provocative name. Located in a converted WWII anti-aircraft bunker on the Feldstraße, the venue's raw concrete walls, industrial architecture, and commanding Bunker building make it one of Hamburg's most atmospheric club spaces. The main Turmzimmer room at the top of the bunker has become one of Germany's most celebrated techno venues, its circular shape and panoramic views of Hamburg creating an experience that is genuinely unlike anywhere else. The programming covers the full electronic spectrum with a bias toward serious, international bookings.
Uebel & Gefährlich opened in 2006 in the Flakturm bunker, a building that had been repurposed for various uses since the war. The conversion into a club space was part of Hamburg's broader effort to find creative uses for its remaining wartime architecture.
