About The Roxy Theatre

The Roxy Theatre is one of the most storied live music venues in the world. Since opening on the Sunset Strip in 1973, it has hosted debut performances and landmark shows by artists including Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young, Tom Waits, and Bob Marley. The intimate 500-capacity venue provides an unparalleled connection between performer and audience, and its position on the Sunset Strip places it at the heart of Los Angeles's rock and roll mythology.

History

Founded by Lou Adler and Elmer Valentine in 1973, The Roxy was conceived as a venue that would bridge the gap between the large arenas and the small clubs. Its first show featured Neil Young, and it quickly became the preferred venue for artists who wanted to play an intimate show in Los Angeles. The venue has remained in continuous operation for over five decades.
