Kapital is Madrid's most distinctive nightlife venue — a converted theatre spread across seven floors, each dedicated to a different musical genre from hip-hop and R&B to electronic and even flamenco. The concept means that a single ticket grants access to what is effectively seven clubs under one roof, making it uniquely versatile for groups with different musical tastes. The rooftop terrace offers views across central Madrid on summer nights, while the ground floor's main room hosts the biggest crowd. Kapital is both a tourist attraction and a genuine Madrid institution.
Kapital opened in 1995 in a converted 1930s cinema near Atocha station and immediately stood out for its multi-floor concept. The venue's ability to cater to diverse tastes within a single space made it resilient to changing musical trends. It remains one of the most visited clubs in Spain and a landmark on Madrid's nightlife map.
