About Madhattan

Madhattan is the undisputed queen of Chiaia's cocktail scene, a 180-capacity bar along the Lungomare that has set the standard for cocktail culture in Naples since 2007. The bar's mixologists are among the most technically accomplished in southern Italy, and the aperitivo spread — available from 6 to 9 pm — is a genuine meal in itself. Live jazz sessions on Thursday evenings and a DJ set at weekends make Madhattan a full-evening destination rather than merely a drink stop.

History

Madhattan opened in Chiaia in 2007 at a time when Naples' cocktail culture was beginning to develop beyond the traditional caffè and wine bar traditions. It played a significant role in raising the standard of what Neapolitans expected from a bar experience.
