Blue Parrot Beach Bar & Club is Playa del Carmen's oldest continuously operating beach bar, a 1993 institution that predates the tourism explosion that transformed the town. History
Blue Parrot opened in 1993 when Playa del Carmen was a small fishing village just beginning its transition to a tourist destination. It was one of the first beach bars to attract an international clientele and helped establish the town's party reputation.
