The Ritz Ybor occupies one of the most stunning historic buildings in Tampa's nightlife landscape, a meticulously restored 1926 ballroom that brings together Ybor City's rich Cuban-immigrant history and contemporary nightclub culture in a setting of exceptional grandeur. The 1,800-capacity venue features soaring ceilings, ornate plasterwork, and a sound and lighting system that has been engineered to honour the architecture while delivering a world-class nightclub experience. Programming spans EDM, Latin music, and dance events, with the Latin nights drawing a passionate crowd that fills the ballroom floor in a nod to the building's original purpose as a social hall for Tampa's Latin community. The Ritz is an experience unlike any other in Florida.
The Ritz Ybor building was constructed in 1926 as a social and entertainment venue for Ybor City's thriving Latin community, and served various entertainment functions throughout the 20th century before being sensitively converted into its current nightclub form in 1994. The venue has been a cornerstone of Ybor City's nightlife revival and remains one of the most distinctive large-capacity clubs in the American South.
