Dybbuk operates from a compact basement space in Exarcheia — Athens's historically anarchist and politically charged neighbourhood — and programmes some of the most extreme and uncompromising electronic music in Greece. The venue's political context shapes its programming, which frequently intersects with activist culture, queer community, and anti-commercial art. Sound ranges from industrial techno to harsh noise, performance art, and experimental electronics. Dybbuk functions as much as a community space as a club, and the line between artwork and party is deliberately blurred.
Dybbuk was founded in 2014 as part of Exarcheia's long tradition of self-organised cultural spaces. The venue emerged from Athens's punk and squatter scene and brought that DIY ethic to electronic music. It has maintained a resolutely independent stance, refusing commercial bookings in favour of a community-curated programme.
