Hangar is one of Belgrade's largest indoor club venues, a converted warehouse in the Savamala waterfront district that has become one of the most important spaces in Serbia's electronic music scene. The cavernous industrial space houses a powerful sound system capable of filling the entire building with bass, and the loading dock aesthetic creates a raw, warehouse party atmosphere. Hangar has played a central role in establishing Savamala as Belgrade's creative district, hosting international techno and house acts alongside the biggest names from the Balkans electronic scene. The venue's sheer scale allows for festival-grade production within a club setting.
Hangar opened in 2012 as Savamala was beginning its transformation from a derelict industrial waterfront into Belgrade's cultural hub. The venue's success helped attract other creative businesses and cultural spaces to the area. It has since become one of the most important clubs in the Balkans and a regular destination for international touring DJs.
