Since opening in 2013, it has established itself as one of the UK's finest techno and electronic venues, regularly hosting internationally acclaimed names alongside Bristol's thriving local scene. The venue's multiple rooms — including an enormous main warehouse space, outdoor terrace, and smaller intimate rooms — allow for varied programming within a single night. Motion's commitment to sound quality is evident in its bespoke Funktion-One installations throughout.
Motion opened in 2013, filling a gap in Bristol's club landscape for a large-capacity venue capable of hosting major touring acts. It quickly became the city's premier destination for techno and drum and bass, cementing Bristol's reputation as one of the UK's most important electronic music cities.
