About Instant-Fogas
Instant-Fogas is the product of two of Budapest's most celebrated ruin bars merging into a single vast complex in the Jewish Quarter. Multiple rooms, courtyards, bars, and stages create an experience that feels like wandering through an entire neighbourhood of clubs rather than a single venue. The decor — salvaged furniture, eclectic art, and decades of accumulated cultural detritus — is the pinnacle of Budapest's iconic ruin bar aesthetic. Programming spans electronic music, indie concerts, themed nights, and everything in between, making it genuinely possible to spend an entire night without repeating the same experience twice.
History
Instant and Fogas operated as separate ruin bars before merging around 2016 to create the current combined complex. Both venues had been part of Budapest's ruin bar revolution of the 2000s, which transformed abandoned buildings in the Jewish Quarter into world-famous cultural spaces. The merged venue is now one of the largest club complexes in Central Europe.
