Lärm is Budapest's hardest and most experimental club, a small underground space in the Jewish Quarter dedicated to industrial techno, noise, and the most extreme fringes of electronic music. The club's 300-person capacity creates an intense, claustrophobic atmosphere that is entirely intentional. Bookings focus on the European underground circuit, with particular emphasis on German, Dutch, and Polish artists working in the industrial and post-industrial techno tradition. Lärm has carved a niche as Budapest's answer to venues like OHM in Berlin and SKALA in Copenhagen.
Lärm was founded in 2016 as Budapest's underground scene began to develop beyond its ruin bar origins. The founders wanted a venue that could present the most challenging electronic music in an environment designed specifically for that purpose. The club quickly became a reference point for the Hungarian techno community and began attracting international visitors seeking something beyond the tourist ruin bar circuit.
