Rdza (Polish for 'rust') is Kazimierz's most respected underground club, a compact venue that has established itself as Kraków's home for credible electronic music and experimental sounds. The industrial aesthetic — raw metal, exposed pipes, minimal lighting — creates an atmosphere entirely at odds with the tourist-friendly bars that surround it in the Jewish quarter. Rdza's programming consistently features some of the most interesting electronic music artists from Poland and beyond, attracting a knowledgeable crowd of local music enthusiasts.
Rdza opened in 2015 as Kazimierz was consolidating its transformation from a historic Jewish quarter into Kraków's most vibrant nightlife neighbourhood. The club deliberately positioned itself as the neighbourhood's serious music alternative to the proliferating tourist bars, and has built a devoted following among Kraków's electronic music community.
