About Basement Miami
Basement Miami is one of the most architecturally unusual nightclubs in the world. Located beneath the Miami Beach EDITION hotel, the venue combines a functioning ice skating rink with a bowling alley and a nightclub — all in the same subterranean space. History
Opened in 2014 as part of Ian Schrager's Miami Beach EDITION hotel, Basement was designed by Roman and Williams as a deliberate subversion of Miami's outdoor, sun-drenched nightlife culture. The ice rink — a genuine novelty in subtropical Florida — became an instant talking point and helped establish the venue as one of the most photographed nightlife spaces in the city.
