Social Club occupies a low-ceilinged basement space just steps from Rex Club on the Grands Boulevards, and has earned a devoted following for its eclectic, genre-fluid programming. The intimate 400-capacity room creates an intense, sweaty atmosphere that suits the club's energetic bookings ranging from hip-hop to deep house and everything in between. Social Club was one of the first Parisian venues to break emerging artists who later became international names. Its unpretentious door policy and reasonable entry prices keep the crowd genuinely mixed.
Social Club opened in 2006 and quickly became a favourite of Paris's creative class, booking acts like Justice, SebastiAn, and A-Trak before they became household names. The club's relationship with the Ed Banger Records scene defined its early identity. It remains one of the most consistently programmed clubs in the city.
