White Hotel is Manchester's most important underground club, a deliberately rough industrial space in Salford that has built one of the finest reputations in British techno since 2015. The venue's aesthetic is all exposed brick, dark rooms, and overwhelming bass — a deliberate statement of intent about musical priorities over comfort. White Hotel has hosted some of the most significant names in European underground techno and has been instrumental in connecting Manchester's club scene to broader European movements. Its position in Salford rather than the city centre underlines its commitment to operating outside mainstream nightlife geography.
White Hotel was founded in 2015 as Manchester's underground scene was seeking spaces that could match the ambition of European counterparts. The founders chose Salford for its industrial heritage and relative distance from the commercial city centre. White Hotel quickly became the reference point for serious electronic music in the north of England.
