Sturecompagniet is Stockholm's most iconic mega-club — a multi-room palace of nightlife in the Stureplan building that has been defining the city's upscale club scene for decades. Spy Bar is the Stureplan area's most exclusive venue. Trädgården under Söder bridge is the city's best outdoor summer club with a beach bar feel. Debaser is the top choice for live music and alternative club nights.

Swedish licensing laws permit clubs to serve alcohol until 3 am, and most Stockholm clubs close between 3 am and 5 am. The pre-drinking culture (förfest) means that people often don't arrive at clubs until midnight or later. Many venues require advance booking for weekend nights, particularly in Stureplan, where door policies are strict and queues form early.
