About Solidaritet
Solidaritet provides Stockholm with its most credible underground electronic music alternative to the commercial Stureplan scene, occupying a basement space in Vasastan with an excellent sound system and a booking policy that prioritises musical quality over celebrity appeal. The venue has introduced some of Europe's most respected underground techno and house artists to Stockholm audiences that would otherwise be underserved by the city's predominantly commercial club culture. Solidaritet's programming reflects genuine engagement with global electronic music trends rather than simply following what is already popular.
History
Solidaritet opened in 2015 as Stockholm's underground electronic music community was growing in sophistication and demanding venues that reflected their musical knowledge. The club has maintained its position by refusing to dilute its musical standards in pursuit of broader commercial appeal.
