About Rashomon
Rashomon is Rome's most uncompromising underground club, operating in a compact basement space in the Ostiense district with a programming philosophy that prioritises the darkest and most experimental corners of electronic music. The club's deliberately sparse decor, oppressive sound system, and smoke-filled dancefloor create an atmosphere that feels closer to Berlin than Rome. History
Rashomon opened in 2013 and immediately distinguished itself from Rome's more commercial club scene with radical programming and a no-compromise attitude. The club's early adoption of Berlin-influenced dark techno helped shift the conversation about what was possible in Italian nightlife. It has since become a reference point for underground electronic music throughout southern Europe.
